Midlands Astronomy is delighted with the return of Cosmos 2023 after a 3 years absences due to Covid on March 25th, a change from our usual venue The Shamrock Lodge Hotel Athlone due to certain circumstances and availability we decided to go back to our Rustic feel like before. This Location ( The Midlands National Shooting Centre of Ireland ) provides us with all our necessary needs with plenty of room for Astro buy & Sell, Exhibits, Telescope display and thanks to Stephen from ktec Telescopes who will also have his fantastic Display with all your Astro needs. This Venue also provides us with a Dark Sky for observing as it is close to Lough Boora Bog with little or no light pollution so please feel free to bring a Telescope.This will be a one day Event Starting from Registration at 9:30am with the first of 6 Lectures starting at 10am until 6pmIncluded in the price is Tea, Coffee and Refreshments throughout the day.Soup Rolls and Sandwiches will be provided during the Break and then a buffet Style Dinner after the Last Lecture and our Cosmic Table Quiz to Follow.
